I wrote this song manny moons ago for a good friend. Finally got the time to record a rough outline on the song. Clarinet, bass and drums are going to wrap it up with a final vocal. Ha, I promise to get my cat LuLu out next time. You can hear playing with her toy at the end. Sounds cool. Yep, she’s a natural.

Chris Avila and Danny Levario both graduated from Notre Dame, and they are currently the President and Vice-President of the Notre Dame Club here in El Paso; but since they were born, they have always bled Orange. They each have fond memories of attending Miner football and basketball games, and each has also had their own fare share of having the opportunity to meet formers Miner players past and present.

So it was only fitting that they are the creators of a new website that is devoted entirely to Miner athletics.

This minimal portfolio is an original horizontal three-column minimalist accordion site. That’s a mouth full. The minimal portfolio has been successfully themed for WordPress and a stand-alone XHTML markup is ready for CMS integration. The site, lite yet rich, is ideal for customization. An ideal portfolio for any creative wanting to focus solely on the content.

The latest and greatest: The creative portfolio portion of the site. Features a six grid layout, title of work, brief description about the project and a view link. The “Prev & Next” buttons are ajax driven so the visitor never leaves the page to view the full detail of the certain project. A select menu is also ajax driven. When a visitor chooses a particular category of interest, it only loads those particular projects.

The WordPress portion of the project. Works on the latest version with only two plugins needed to make the blog function. The main font title is sIFR. Download the WordPress files below. Be sure to update your sIFR config file. Enjoy!

Bluetooth® technology is now the latest medium for advertising and marketing. Bluetooth proximity marketing has become all the rage overseas as the newest way to connect with potential or existing customers. This is a unit that is used to deliver potential marketing messages.

Here’s how it works. Imagine you’re walking through a mall, and you pass a proximity broadcast station. The key is to have your phone on and in “discoverable” mode. This will allow all possible ads in the area to “hit” your phone – asking if you want to receive free content from the provider. For example, say you’re shopping for gym equipment at a specialty shop and they have a proximity marketing station set up. If your phone is in discoverable mode, you’ll receive a message asking if you want to receive free content from “ABC Company”. Think of it as a virtual billboard or flyer advertisement.

Main landing page design and development
The design was quite challenging being that we are on complete different time zones and countries. Headup is developed by SemantiNet, an Israeli startup company founded in 2006 and based in Tel Aviv. To learn more about SemantiNet and the team developing Headup please visit http://www.semantinet.com

Since Headup is an a Semantic Firefox addon, it only works with Mozilla. The development was created to read the browser type and reveal the download plugin or a signup form to notify users of updates when it’s available for other browsers. In this case, this is Safari’s view of the website.

I had lots of fun with the project and the folks at Semantinet were hip cats too.

Whether your next early-evening social get-together is an intimate gathering of friends or an after-work business schmooze-fest, Happy Hour provides the perfect ambience. Shaken, not stirred. I created the song using Apple’s Garage Band. Guaranteed to impress your guests with your impeccable musical taste or at least get you a free drink? Originally I started creating the track for MBP’s intro, but then it started taken a different turn. This is the first of many to come. It took me two hours to create the song. It’s also my first time using Garage Band instead of ProTools. Garage Band files are for education use only. Enjoy!
